Unit 10 showed two different videos of the same teacher teaching the same class.
What I learned most was how big of an effect the teacher´s attitude can have on the class. In the first video the teacher seemed confused and unprepared. In the second video he was working with his voice and used different intonation. He also used gestures and he was smiling and laughing a lot. He started by getting to know the students and I think that really helped him to get a good start for the lesson.
The students seemed to like the second lesson. He gave good instructions and included every student in a random order. The first lesson was badly structured and the vocabulary used was too advanced for the students in my opinion.
I personally enjoyed watching video 2 much more than video 1, as I found the firt video a bit uncomfortable to watch. I would not have enjoyed being a student in this classroom. On the other hand, the second class was both fun and educational and I would aspire to plan a lesson like this.
