I feel I still need to go back to the Engage, Study, Activate theory, I found out some questions ask about the levels of this theory and how to teach or maintain discipline or even sit down during the lesson. Everything is connected to each other and one needs a careful study of all the units and not to simple breeze through them, just to finish the course work, it definitely needs an undivided attention. Further I learnt that we should limit or stop teacher talk time while writing on the board and this is called dead time and they are a number of ways to limit this dead time, like preparing before the class, having an OHP or working with the students to write on the board whilst doing an activity. Lastly giving too much attention to a student is also not appropriate and you should never ever force a student to answer as it may result badly; that students can never recover from the embarrassment caused and at the same time never talk in the classroom to avoid further embarrassment and you would killed their confidence.
