There is no one correct way to teach English. The different methodologies like Grammar-Translation and Task-Based may be fundamentally different, but each have their pros and cons. The use of different methodologies may be helpful in teaching certain topics, skill levels, or groups. However, when using any method, it is important to design effective lessons; effective lesson should feature an Engage section to warm up students, a Study section where new material is taught, and mistakes are corrected, and an Activate section where students are encouraged to explore English and the material. Each section can have various activities or games that help students use English. During any lesson, students will make mistakes; these should be corrected in a positive manner in a way that maximizes student growth. Lessons should be varied and fun, so that students can get the most out of their learning experience.
