Unit 10 Reflection:
In unit 10- we needed to compare two different teaching styles. The first video showed us what not to do. The teacher came late to class, was ill-prepared, did not smile, skipped the engage phase, and confused the students the entire way through the lesson. In the second video, the teacher came in smiling, wrote his name on the board and then asked the students all of their names. He properly proceeded with an engage phase and was careful to give proper attention to Student Talk Time. He gave proper instructions and gave space for elicitation from the students. The mill drill at the end of the lesson was a perfect activation phase because it got the students up, moving, and interacting with each other.
