I learned about what qualities make a good teacher like patience, kindness, knowledge, and caring about students, as well as what makes a good learner like asking questions, a willingness to listen to the language, assessing what will help them learn, and experimentation. I learned about the different roles a teacher might play in the classroom like model, facilitator, manager, prompter and assessor. The different stages a student will go through in learning were covered like beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced. Overall, it was a good first lesson.
