This unit had very clear and defined categories for different subjects such as the roles of a teacher, learning experiences, and languages levels. While there are very helpful, I also realized that these will not always be as clearly defined in real life experiences and that each classroom and student will present with their own preferences, language abilities, and personal experiences with learning. This unit helped me understand the various things such as environment, student experiences, motivations, and types of learners which will enable me to create personalized lessons that will be most effective for classes, as well as individual students. After studying this unit, I think that one of the most challenging parts of teaching, will be to know what role to play and when. There are various types of teaching styles, with some being more strict and professional, and others more relaxed and friendless. Finding the right teaching style for my classes, will most likely take time and practice.
