In Unit 7, I learned about teaching vocabulary, grammar, and functions. When teaching new vocabulary, I learned that I need to make sure to select new words that are appropriate, used often, and are easy to teach to newer students. When teaching grammar, I need to teach the meaning of the word, when to use it, and the different patterns or forms the word may have. These two aspects are the most important in my opinion. When taught simple language, the beginner students will be able to get by using simple phrases in English.
