This unit was helpful in helping me understand and think about how I want to use a course book in my own teaching style. The type of book that I would want to use, as well the extent to which I want to use it are very important in the overall lesson planning. This unit gave a lot of different opinions that I could use such as replacing materials, supplementing more materials, adapting the course book, or omitting it all together. It will also be important for me to look at the difficulty of the course book, the skills it works to improve, the price, and the methodology.
