I have always thought that I would teach younger English learners: those who were school-aged. However, this unit opened my mind to possibly teaching adult English learners as well. It would definitely be a different approach to teaching the adults because their motivation and desire to learn would be higher and their interests would be different. Also, this unit also called to my attention that learning English is much more than the academics like grammar and pronunciation. While that is very important, it is also important to teach students social language like small talk.
