In unit 8, it introduces the future tenses: Future simple: used for expressing future facts and certainties, promises, predictions, assumptions,spontaneous decisions and threats. Example: I will go to the gym tomorrow. Future continuous: used to say that something will be in progress at a certain time in the future, to "predicate the present" to say what we guess might be happening now, to refer to future events which are fixed or decided. Example: He will be waiting for you at the gym. Future Perfect: used to say that something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future. Example: I will have finished the TEFL course by the end of October. Future perfect continuous: used to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. Example: By the time you arrive, I'll have been waiting here for 2 hours. "going to" future: used for expressing intentions, predictions based on present evidence, plans(decisions made before speaking). Example: I am going to travel in Janpan next month. Present simple: used to suggest a more formal situation,to timetable and schedules, to suggest a more impersonal tone. Example: They leave tomorrow for London. Present continuous: used for definite arrangements, for decisions and plans without a time frame. Example: I'm going to meet him later.
