Lesson plans are a way for a teacher to determine what they are going to accomplish during their lesson. The lesson plan should give a general idea of what will be covered and done during the class period. It should also recognize some potential problems that the students or the teacher may have during the lesson as well as a corresponding solution. The lesson plan is only an outline, and it should not act as a script. It should show what phase each activity is and how long it should last. Timing is a very important part of the lesson plan, since it is not efficient for every class to be curtailed. A teacher should also arrive early to make sure that all of the equipment works before beginning the lesson
