This unit presented some challenges such as trying to learn and get used to the phonemic symbols. When I was trying to translate them into the English word, there were some sounds that could be a variety of letters, so I had to keep going until I figured out the word. I was also interesting to see how the movements of the mouth can be studied so that things such as mouth diagrams can be created to help sound out the pronunciation of words better.
