Most often the analysis of students´needs and expectations of the course shows, they want to focus rather on speaking than writing as they usually lack the opportunity to practice speaking but often write emails or reports. Therefore, my lessons are centred around their speaking skills. And even focusing on special speaking skills such as telephoning, presenting or holding a meeting with plenty of functional language. I enjoy teaching these skills. Thus the theoretical overview in this unit was useful in terms of organising my knowledge.
