This unit covered conditionals and reported speech. I learned just how difficult reported speech can be for EFL students. I also studied the zero, first, second, third, and mixed conditions, which collectively use if/when to refer to past, present and future, possibilities using if/when. It was useful to learn that common errors with the condition include trouble differentiating between the first and second conditionals. The reported speech diagram on page 7 was the most useful part of this material.
