In my past teaching experiences, my advanced students have had the most difficulty with the subjects addressed in Unit 18. Phrasal Verbs and Modal Verbs can be very intimidating for new English learners. The passive voice can also be the source of much confusion. These subject are easily ingrained into native speakers but are not widely studied. Unit 18 was very helpful in providing a framework with which to explain usages and rules to new learners that I would have been unable to teach before. These verbs are used daily and it is important to be able to teach students about them and how to use them properly. Most importantly, it's important to know why it is we say things a certain way in English, this can be very difficult with modal verbs and phrasal verbs, so this Unit was a great help.
