This unit was focused on the future tenses of verbs and their nuances—that is, this unit was focused on verbs and their wide variety of forms and uses in order to denote when talking about the future. This unit illustrated to me how nuanced and detailed we can get with advanced students. And yet at the same time the exercises that I created were focused on goals and predictions showing how this tense is focused on looking forward. During the task sheet at the conclusion of the unit when they threw in a question with the present tense I was reminded that this content is not taught in a vacuum and I have to be able to recall the information collectively.
