This unit gives detail explanations of speaking and writing which are productive skills.Through this unit,the teacher gets to know that accuracy (study phase)and fluency(Activate phases) are equally important and the teacher must focus on helping the students to develop both skills.The course also explains why some students feel reluctant to speak English in the classroom.Some of the reasons mentioned are,lack of confidence,fear of making mistakes,peer intimidation,lack of interest in the topic,previous learning experiences and cultural reasons.This unit encourages the teacher to use games in the classroom to teach language.
