I am a qualified and experience teacher, but consider myself still relatively new to the ESL field (as I've been an ESL educator for only a year and a half now). But I am happy to refresh my memory on the basics of teaching, and of being reminded of the variety of roles the Educator plays. I teach from kindergarten children to adults, so have knowledge of the many levels of proficiency in Asia, but am reminded of the fact that the levels will be different in other countries - which is where I plan to move to.
I know that motivation in the class and student is one of the most important keys to success in teaching and learning, but I find as I read these materials that I see where I have lacked in this with students I find less enjoyable - something I will take more seriously again.
