This unit dives in depth to lesson models through the Engage, Study, Activate model or ESA. The Engage phase is to get student attention. This could be through talking about a photo of an animal, or asking students to share about their favorite vacation. Next is the study phase, where students would do exercises like fill in the gap worksheets to learn more vocabulary related to the top. And last is the activation phase where students might role play the topic. For example one student might be a travel agent, and the other a traveler to practice the material they just learned in the study phase.
