English students or learners need to be evaluated for a lot of reasons. One reason is to be able to know in what level of group or class they belong according to their ability. Another reason is to know their progression, their strength and weaknesses regarding the lesson. There are students that study english for the purpose of taking an external exam. There for they need to be practiced or familiarized with the exam that they are going to take.
There are different ways to assess or test a student; First is by tutorials where in the aims of the lesson can be discussed. Next is by evaluating, this is by asking them if they think that they are getting enough grammar and if it is easy or difficult. Last is giving them test.
