This was yet another very highly theoretical and therefore extremely challenging unit. I am well aware of the importance of correct pronounciation, word stress and intonation. There was a study performed (unfortunately I don´t remember the source) on what causes a misunderstanding when speaking between native and non-native speakers most often - from the point of view of native speakers understanding the non-natives. Whether it is errors in: grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation. It was pronunciation, then followed vocabulary with grammar mistakes being of least importance disturbing comprehension. This unit was full of new information. Nevertheless, I feel it is necessary to keep it very practical for students not overdo it.
