I have learnt that there are twelve tenses in the grammar of English, and fully agree with the opinion because each of them does have its own form and usage.
This unit covers the four aspects of present time.
1. Present simple
2. Present Continuous
3. Present Perfect
4. Present Perfect Continuous
For each of the mentioned tenses, the following areas are listed:
- Form of the tense.
- Usages of the tense.
- Typical student errors while using the tense.
- Teaching ideas for the Active stage of lessons about tenses.
Beside the regular information about each tense, I have also learnt the following extra knowledge:
+ How to form the third person singular form of verbs used in simple present.
+ Usage of non-progressive verbs.
+ How to use "for" or "since", "been" or "gone", and irregular past participles in present perfect tense.
+ Differences between Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous.
