I learned that the English language has 12 tenses. There are three times in English and each one has four tenses. I was shocked to learn this because, as a native English speaker, speaking in the proper tenses comes naturally without having to think about it. This unit was particularly difficult for me but it was very helpful. Now I know that I will need to be extra patient with students when teaching this subject because, if it's difficult to understand for a native speaker, it will be even more challenging for an L2 student. I plan to download this lesson and continue to study it.
