I have learned the basic outline for English grammar and the specific names of certain parts of speech. The content of this unit focused on the overview of sentence structure as well as certain rules for placement within a sentence. Starting with nouns, articles, adjectives, and verbs, it expanded on more intricate parts of sentence structures such as prepositions, pronouns, and adverbs. The best way to understand grammar rule irregularities seems to be attributed to memorizing certain patterns and applying them through trial and error. I have come to this conclusion due to the mass volume of material ideas presented but also because of the suggestion of games that can be used to aid students in remembering such as the Adverb Game.
