So, this unit is about present tenses. And here is mentioned about the forms, usages, typical student errors and some teaching ideas for activate stage of teaching/learning present tenses. In this unit is spoken about four present tenses: the present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. So, the present simple tense is an action to describe regular, habitual actions, and also historical sequences, facts, newspaper headlines. The present continuous tense is to talk about an action that is in progress at the time of speaking, temporary action that is not necessarily in progress at the time of speaking, background events in a present story and describe developing situations. The present perfect tense is when we talk about finished actions that happened at an indefinite time, the actions which began in the past and is still true at the time of speaking, a description about past actions with present results. The present perfect continuous is an action to communicate an incomplete and ongoing activity, when we want to say how long it has continued and an action to describe a recently finished but uninterrupted activity which has a present result. As the tenses cause the students to learn with difficulties, and for make them clear we should give them clear explanations and worksheets which will be helpful to improve their knowledges.
