This unit reviewed many different theories, methods, and techniques for teaching. It is important that all lessons have an Engage stage where students can talk comfortably and are all involved, a Study stage where the new material is presented and worked on in a controlled way, and an Activate stage where students can use what they´ve just learned, along with what they already know, in a creative way. Lessons are structured differently depending on the level and material. It is important to praise students as well as correct them, but always in a positive way. Teachers should always allow the student to correct him or herself first, then let other students correct him or her (if appropriate in the class) and then, as a last resort, the teacher should correct the student if necessary. This unit had a lot of examples for each stage of the lesson.
