I appreciate the list of strategies in this unit that represent a creative approach to teaching English as an additional language. I always approach my students with positive feedback if corrections need to be made. Students learning English as an additional language tend to be sensitive about their mastery, and it is extremely important not to discourage students as English can be very difficult to learn. I agree that the stages of learning are helpful both to students and to teachers as a guide for building new connections. The focus on this unit regarding student/teacher interactions is an excellent way to begin the discussion of how to teach English.
