In unit 3 emphasis the role of different methodologies such as Grammar-translation, Audio Lingualism,PPP, Task Based learning ...etc : and focuses on a particular methodology called: ESA, "Engage, study, activate". The ESA methodology has three main part, the first part is important to arouse the students' interest and get them involved, The study phase focuses on the language and how it is constructed, the activate part is the stage where students are encouraged to use any of the language they know, there are many examples and many tools to help with all these stages, the most important thing is that the teacher should monitor without interruption and listen to the students needs.
