This unit discusses different types of tests that teachers may be required or optional to do, depending on the school requirements. Perhaps a school requires a placement test at the beginning of the course to gauge the student's level. But it would be beneficial for a teacher to use progress tests every few weeks to check in on the students to see how they are doing and if there are any weak areas for improvement.
