This unit provided video examples of what not do and what to do in a lesson plan. The stark contrast demonstrated how much a teacher's attitude, preparedness, and planning can influence their students' ability to learn. The first demonstration featured a teacher with a bad attitude who was easily frustrated and not in tune with his student's verbal and nonverbal comprehension cues. While he thought and said "it's easy, this", it was not easy for his students to understand the lesson point given his teaching. The second demonstration featured a patient teacher with a good attitude and a cool head. This teacher prepared a well-designed lesson plan and effectively engaged all of his students. Their active participation in the study and activate phases demonstrated this.
