I am well-informed about preparing a lesson prior to having a class. But, I would agree with the introduction of the unit that it is debatable whether it is necessary to prepare a lesson plan or not. I can be a case to case basis for my opinion. When I started teaching, the lesson plans I prepared were very helpful in aiding me to reach my goal at the end of every lessons I had. However, As I got used to planning my lessons m y lessons have gotten more predictable and more rigid. I had set in my mind that I really have to follow what was planned then I turned out to be forcing my student and it ended up to me involuntary participation. This situation helped me realized that relying too much to lessons wont make your lessons student and situation friendly. Lesson planning therefore must still be used as a reinforcement to our lessons since teacher still needs to be adaptive to every situations in hand.
