Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit focuses on the qualities that make a great teacher and a great student, the various roles of a teacher and when they should be used in the classroom and also touches on culture and the different levels of ability in the English language. This unit was very helpful to me because I want to be the best possible teacher that I can be. I agreed with the reading when it said teachers should be patient, caring, lively, and be able to involve all students equally. I want to be able to inspire and motivate my future students to do their best. I was not aware of all the roles of a teacher. Being a teacher requires balancing many roles and knowing when to intervene and help and when to let students experiment with the language and learn on their own. I think I found the section about learners to be the most interesting and helpful. Young learners and adults have very different learning methods and it is important to know the differences and be able to work with all ages of English learners and help them improve and succeed. I found it interesting that young learners are more open minded to new ways of learning compared to adults. I was a little familiar with the different levels of language but after reading this unit, I have a better understanding of the specifics of each level. Lastly, I'm glad this unit touched on culture. Good teachers should always be aware that different cultures have different approaches to learning. Overall, I learned a lot from this unit and know it will be very applicable to my future as a teacher.
