Unit 9 has really reinforced the importance of lesson planning as a teacher. I have learned that there is no real structure that one needs to follow in order to have a successful lesson plan / method. What works for some teachers may not work for others. It is important to start with more structured lesson plans as you develop your experience and only after you're comfortable and adjusted to being flexible should you have a less-structured lesson plan. One of the biggest takeaways is being flexible. Lesson plans are not always going to go exactly how you want them to, it's important to plan contingencies and be ready to adapt. It's equally important to set an objective for every class and to record your progress, as your as of the student.
