In this unit I learnt about the importance of managing a class for the benefit of students. Ultimate aim of the class is to enable learning in students by encouraging them to stay positive and willing to learn and boost their confidence. This can be achieved by managing the class layout, students' participation and teacher's involvement in positive ways. A non dominating teacher who focuses on each and every students' participation and development creates better class condition. A teacher has to maintain a balance between controlling and letting loose of the class on one hand and maintaining discipline on the other. By paying attention to his/her gestures and physical presence, student's personalities, class management , and maintaining discipline , the teacher can produce an effective class atmosphere.
