The activities suggested in this chapter are very helpful. It seems like it does very good for students' attentiveness if there can be a thematic continuity to the lesson as a whole. Using the ESA structures helps with this. By first getting students interested in the grammar or vocabulary at hand and then showing them the context in which it's useful, learning the vocabulary in the study and activate phases should go easier.
