Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

This unit started off explaining Modal Auxiliary Verbs, how to teach and explain them in general, their usages, and two different ways to teach modal auxiliary verbs in the classroom. It also explained in more detail "need to" and how to change that for the subject. The lesson then transitioned into teaching the active and the passive voice. It explained the reasons for using passive vs active voice, whether you know who the subject is, if the subject is important, or if you want focus on the subject or not. I learned the structure for changing sentences from passive to active or vis a versa, changing the tense and the subject and object location in the sentence. One difficulty students will have will come with conjugating "to be" into different tenses, so this will be something the teacher needs to focus on and spend time practicing with students. After several examples and teaching ideas for the active/passive voice, the lesson taught about the basic structures of independent, dependent, and relative clauses. Finally, the lesson explained phrasal verbs, or multi-word verbs that operate as one. There are three basic types of phrasal verbs, intransitive, transitive inseparable, and transitive separable. This can be easier to teach if the teacher chooses one particular subject such as driving, and this covers several phrasal verbs such as pull up, drop off, etc.
