This unit was about the different methodologies that have been in play during the past years in teaching. The main method that was primarily discussed in this unit is ESA or engage study activate, created by Jeremy Harmer. It is basically the idea that a person can learn a language by first being engaged. This stage is of getting the person to think of the language point that they are being taught. Then study, where the teacher helps the student by teaching them the correct format of the language and then allowing them to study it on their own. Then is engage where the student uses that information to complete a larger task to really show off that they understands what they learned. It was very informative.
