In this unit, I learned the importance of having eye contact with the students. It shows that everyone is participating and encourage contributions. You should have a lively voice and to keep the class alive and it should vary with classroom size. Using students names keeps the whole class alerts as they do not know who will be called on. Names should always be used at the end and not the beginning of a question. Grouping students has its pros and cons. However, each type of group has its own place in the classroom.
Teachers should know when to sit or stand in the classroom according to the activities. Sitting creates a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere, while standing can create a more dominant atmosphere.
