After going through this unit, it demonstrates the importance of speaking and writing skills and how they are equally important to the learner. I have learned that there should be an equal balance of both skills as well as equal balance of controlled activities to teach the students as well as freedom for the students to experiment with the language and get more comfortable with working the new language out themselves in both speaking and writing.
