This unit gave an overview of the different types of English learners. There are beginners, which vary into 5 different categories based on English knowledge, there are one on one learners, young learners (2-16 years old) Business English learners, and monolingual vs, bilingual classrooms. The lesson gave general rules for beginners, pros and cons of one on one teaching, the dos and do nots of teaching young learners, how to and not to discipline young learners and a lot of information of teaching Business English. One of the main points in teaching business english is that the teacher is not there to teach business, but to teach english! The students already know business. It gave an example of a needs analysis sheet and how to evaluate and test students so you and them know what their strengths and weaknesses are within the language.
