This unit was so helpful in distinguishing the different theories, methods, and techniques for teaching efficiency and student success. I learned that it is vital to understand when to engage the students, when to let students practice amongst themselves, and when to step in to make corrections. It is so important to give the students feedback so that they know that they are learning properly and are not discouraged when they make mistakes. I also appreciated the many examples of elicitations and engagements for the students.
