As a native speaker, I have often forgotten the time that it took to master the complex grammar rules of the English language. This unit was beneficial as it help me think about the rules from a language learners perspective; I gave me a good idea of how to start from a very broad level and drill down into specifics. I also learned that unless dealing with a highly advanced student, over-correcting student errors or overloading them with rules can become counter productive.
