It was a nice final unit of the course. Ending it lightly makes the whole experience with the online course positive. My issues in class often arise from mixed ability classes. Once I had a departmental two-day intensive course on English for meetings with 10 business people whose levels varied from A0-B2. There I have to admit, I gave up and offered the A0 lady that she can go back to her office if she likes. Thus having A1-B2 class. Also, absolute mental exhaustion is often an issue in my classes, when my business people arrive in class after yet another stressful day at work. Being Czech, who teaches Czech students mostly, often the native language tends to pop up. However, we make an agreement with my students, that they act as if I didn´t understand Czech and are therefore allowed to use their online dictionaries in cases when they feel a translation is absolutely necessary (e.g. during writing assignments). And I and other students in class only confirm the exact meaning. In particular when teaching financial English for accountants and they need the exact terminology matching their Czech terminology.
