Unit 1 provides an overview of what makes a teacher a good teacher and what makes a good student a good student. In addition, Unit 1 also details different roles teachers will take on within the classroom and what to expect from students within different learning levels. I believe the most important characteristic of a good teacher is patience. During my time as an English tutor for Spanish teenagers, I realized that having patience with new students was essential in building their confidence and trust in me as their teacher. I also believe that willingness to ask questions is the most important characteristic of a good student because, it's difficult for a teacher to know if a student is comprehending or not unless they stop you and ask questions when they are confused.
