This unit went over the Present Tenses: Simple Present, Perfect Present and Present Perfect Continuous. I became aware of the various forms of the present tense in the English language during an internship teaching English to German in various companies. I felt foolish being unable to properly explain the different forms and had therefore done research on this and knew most of the material in the unit. However, I found the sections highlighting typical student errors and mistakes useful as a way to put myself in their shoes. For tenses, I think it is better to refrain from diving into the complicated explanations for each tense early on, as this would most likely be overwhelming. This would be a subject I introduce progressively and to an upper-level class.
