Actually I think this is one of the more important units. How can you be a good teacher without proper classroom control? How can you be a more effective teacher without a good rapport and the respect of your students? We discussed various ways to gain a good rapport and the students respect. I believe one of the more important methods discussed was to learn your students names and something about them. Learning their names will put you on a more personal level with your students and learning a little something about them will show the students you have taken a personal interest in them.
