It is easy to identify and use past, present and future tenses, but now I need to think further and incorporate the correct rule based on the aspect. Deciding if what I want to say is simple, continuous, perfect or perfect continuous. This unit has given me a better understanding of how to use these aspects and how to also teach them to my students. Another importance is that because I now know the rules, when I do correct a student I can explain to them why they are wrong (referencing the rule of [for example forming a question in] present continuous tense) instead of just simply correcting them.
