The content of this unit was rich in many different aspects, mainly focusing on various methods and structures within which students can engage, study, and activate acquired knowledge. I found the presentations of the various lesson structures within which ESA can work to be very enlightening, as I have my own ways of organizing class time that have been engrained into me at university. Going over the different lesson plan structures made me realize which structures I naturally tend to follow, and which I would like to experiment with more in order to improve. This unit also discussed correction, which I find more difficult as a teacher to find a balance in. It discussed how to handle correction in a manner that does not negatively impact student comfort or willingness to learn. It also went into how to correct students and when to let mistakes go. I found that having all of this explicitly laid out made me feel more comfortable and prepared to teach and assist students through correction as necessary.
