Much like the unit on present tense, this was a well-needed refresher on different types of past tense. I have not studied the specifics of this kind of grammar since I was in school myself, so I have forgotten many of the rules for forming them and usage. Now that I have read this unit, I have a better understanding of these rules, so I can help my students when they have questions, rather than just relying on me as a native speaker "just knowing" what "sounds right".
