It was very effective to see the difference the teacher's attitude made in the classroom. Having the demonstration of both effective teaching and ineffective teaching worked well, so that I could compare and contrast specific points, such as teacher engagement (the instructor really seemed uninterested and checked out in the first lesson), how incorrect answers were handled (volleyball in a restaurant wasn't wrong, it was the answer to a question that hadn't been asked yet), and the difference between the teacher asking the students all the questions, and the students asking each other questions.
